In 1992 four Referees at the USI
paintball field in Brockton MA
decided to start playing together a
few games a week.
They played on Wednesdays and
Fridays, after the players went
home, just for fun.
It wasn't long before the outdoor
season came upon them. They
wanted to jump in a few games
here & there. They used Kps and
PGPs .
They decided to call themselves
"the Marshals"
because of their equipment,
and also in Europe they refer to
Referees as "Marshals"
The name stuck.
The 4 founding fathers of the club
have made many contributions to paintball.
These four original members
have left their mark in the sport in many ways .
The list is long,
and is always expanding.
From working as staff for many fields & stores, store
ownership, marketing & business management, refereeing all
formats of paintball, game production & management,
customization and repair of paintguns & equipment, prototype work
for manufacturers, writing articles and doing photography, running
teams & clubs, team coaching at the amateur & professional level.
Now to imagine all of the contributions to paintball that every one
of our club members has made over the last 15 years is staggering.

The last 15 years have seen many
changes in the sport,
but our club has endured.
From its humble beginnings the
Marshals grew into something bigger
than anyone had imagined, with
members all over the country &
Canada.
Our Members have a passion for stock
class. Some love to play only stock on
stock.
For others the challenge of jumping
into an open class game with their
PGPs or a phantom to run into a
firefight in a big game thrills them.
Or maybe using their Kps & 007s in
scenarios.
Paintball may have changed,
but the passion for stock class play
has not been affected much by those
changes over the years, rather it has
reintegrated itself into the sport with
the ease of slipping on a mask.
